Charnwood Creative Competition 2025

Drawing, painting, creative writing, photography, arts and crafts, poetry… if you are a creative person and would like to showcase your work, why not enter the Charnwood Creative Competition for 2025?

The competition is open to all ages and entries are open from March 3 until July 31, 2025.

There is no set theme of the competition, but we ask all entrants to consider the following question before they get creative: What makes you happy? 

It could be a view, a favourite place to walk your dog, a childhood memory. If it makes you happy, let it be your creative guide.

Full terms and conditions can be found at www.charnwood.gov.uk/comp, but here is a summary:

• Entrants must be a council tenant or leaseholder
• You can apply for as many categories as you like
• Creative writing entries must be under 500 words
• Content must be appropriate – no swearing and no offensive or sexual content.
  
  

There will be one winner and two runners-up in each category, with £50 in high street vouchers for the winners and £25 for each runner-up.

Winners and runners up will be featured in the council tenant and leaseholder magazine Your Homes Matters. You may also be featured in publicity including press releases, social media and email newsletters.

Your work will also be displayed at a special presentation at Loughborough Town Hall in September.
