| Description | Shop Premises with Offices or Apartments. Built c1930. Restrained Art Deco styling. Cream faience cladding with recessed horizontal joints. Pitched slate roof with dormers. Upstanding parapet with expressed string course under coping. 4 storeys including attic accommodation.. 3 bays. Centre bay extended above moulded faience string course to embrace attic storey. Generally, metal casement windows. 4 vertical ?slit? windows to centre bay extend through 1st & 2nd floors, flanked by vertical fluting formed from moulded faience tiles. A number of original shop fronts particularly merit preservation. |
