A virtual session is being held by Charnwood Borough Council to brief people who are considering standing in the general election on July 4, 2024, for the Loughborough and Mid Leicestershire constituencies.

Anyone considering becoming a candidate is invited to attend the session being held on Microsoft Teams on Thursday, May 30 at 6pm.

Candidates’ agents are also welcome to attend.

The session will cover an overview of the nomination process and election arrangements.

Nomination packs will also be available to candidates and agents and these can be emailed or posted.

This will be an informative session about the key steps in the electoral process and will offer the opportunity for potential candidates to speak to officers and ask any questions they may have.

Potential candidates and agents are required to confirm their attendance prior to the session via www.charnwood.gov.uk/candidatesbriefingGE

A link to the meeting will be sent to people once your attendance is confirmed.

The session will last for approximately an hour and a half.
