Results for the Sileby and Seagrave ward by-election

A by-election took place for the Sileby and Seagrave ward on Thursday, 31 October 2024.
The count took place following the polls closing at 10pm.
The result is as follows:
- Steve Bellamy, The Green Party – 752 votes
- Alistair Duffy, Liberal Democrats - 40 votes
- Sue Gerrard, The Conservative Party - 262 votes
- Kaisra Manzur Khan, Labour Party – 70 votes
- Pete Morris, Reform UK – 297 votes
Steve Bellamy (The Green Party) is duly elected as a borough councillor for the Sileby and Seagrave ward.
The turnout for the by-election was 18.76%.
Cllr Bellamy joins Cllr Naomi Bottomley and Cllr Geoff Lawrence as a borough councillor for the Sileby and Seagrave ward.
The by-election was called following the resignation of Cllr Faye Forde (The Green Party).
Following the by-election, the political make-up of the Council is as follows:
- 23 Conservative
- 20 Labour
- 8 Green
- 1 Independent
The Labour group is the Council's ruling administration.
