Loughborough Fair was enjoyed by thousands of visitors to the town during four days of fun.
The fair, which is operated by Charnwood Borough Council, returned for its 803rd year taking place from Wednesday, 13 November to Saturday, 16 November.
Around 150 rides, stalls and attractions filled the town centre including much-loved favourites such as the waltzers and dodgems.
The Mayor of Charnwood, Cllr Dr Julie Bradshaw MBE, officially opened Loughborough Fair on Wednesday, 13 November.
Local showman liaison, Darren Jones, presented an official Loughborough Fair Bell to the Mayor and the borough to mark 50 years of Charnwood.
Cllr Jennifer Tillotson, the Council’s lead member for economic development, regeneration and town centres, said: “It was fantastic to welcome the showmen, visitors and residents back to Loughborough Fair once again.
“This year’s fair was a huge success and it was great to see so many families enjoy the event as well as supporting our local businesses in the town.
“I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved in the planning and operation of the fair as well as all the showmen and their families.”
The first official Charter for the fair was granted to the Lord of the Manor, Hugh le Despencer, in 1221 by King Henry III. The fair was then held on St. Peter’s Day.
