Apprentice Discount

If you are an apprentice living with none or one other adult in your household you may be entitled to a reduction in council tax.

Am I eligible?

To be eligible for this discount you will need a declaration from your employer stating :

• You are not paid more that £195 per week. Wage slips will be required as proof of earnings
• The training leads to a qualification accredited by a body recognised by the office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulations (Ofqual)

If your application is successful a new bill or exemption notice will be issued to you. In the meantime, bills previously issued must be regarded as correct and due for payment as requested.
