Charging Arrangements for Events on Council Owned Land
We will issue you with an invoice for the charge prior to the event and normally expect to receive cleared payment before the event start date.
In addition to the hire charge, event organisers are also responsible for the costs of any reparation required. For large, complex events a reparation bond payment may apply.
Payment of the charge will not normally mean that you have exclusive access to our land which will usually remain open to the general public for the duration of your event.
The charging arrangements outlined on this page cover land hire charges and reparation only. Any extra support or facilities needed will be subject to negotiation and are likely to incur an additional charge.
In exceptional cases we may agree to waive the charge for a specific event. This must be agreed in writing by Charnwood Borough Council.
If you have any queries on the charge which might apply to your proposed event please contact us at eventplanning@charnwood.gov.uk.
Further information about how to apply to use council owned land can be found on our events page.
If your event may require a road closure you can find further information on out temporary road closures page.
