Flood warnings mean flooding is expected in those areas. Flood alerts mean it is possible.

The Environment Agency has today updated flood warnings and alerts for the area. The time of the update is in brackets, and we have summarised the updates below.
Flood warning for River Soar at caravan parks near Barrow upon Soar (6.33am)
River levels are rising at the Pillings Lock river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding is imminent. The area most at risk is Proctor's Pleasure Park near Barrow upon Soar.
Flood warning for Rothley Brook at Glenfield and Anstey (7.57am)
River levels remain high but are beginning to fall at the Glenfield river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, the risk of flooding remains. Areas most at risk are Glenfield and Anstey.
Flood alert for Loughborough urban watercourses and local tributaries to the River Soar (8.01pm, 1 October)
River levels are high but steady at the Shepshed river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, the risk of flooding remains. Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads around the Black Brook at Shepshed, the Grace Dieu Brook, Burleigh Brook, Wood Brook, Grammar School Brook, Hermitage Brook, Sileby Brook, Long Whatton Brook, King’s Brook and Kingston Brook.
Flood alert for Lower River Soar in Leicestershire (8.08pm, 1 October 2024)
River Levels are rising at Pillings Lock river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, the risk of flooding remains.
Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads including Slash Lane at Sileby, the Mountsorrel to Sileby Road, the B5328 Cossington Road and the access road to Sileby Mill, and farmlands at Cossington, Sileby, Barrow, Quorndon, Cotes, farmland in the Cotes, Loughborough, Zouch, Kegworth and Ratcliffe on Soar areas, Meadow Lane at Loughborough and the access road from Ratcliffe on Soar to Redhill Marina.
Flood alert for Rothley Brook, Quorn Brook and Sileby Brook in Leicestershire (7.25pm, 1 October 2024)
River levels are high but steady at the Glenfield river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, the risk of flooding remains. Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads including the Morrisons parks at Glenfield and Anstey. Low-lying land and farmlands in the Glenfield, Anstey, Sileby, Thurcaston, Rothley, Newtown Linford, Cropston, Swithland and Quorn areas.
