Our leaseholders' team provides services for residents who have bought their home from us under the right-to-buy scheme, or who have a long lease.

The leaseholders' handbook explains your rights and responsibilities as a leaseholder, describing our responsibilities to you as the landlord.

Leaseholders' forum

A leaseholders' forum is held at the council offices in Loughborough. The forum is an opportunity to discuss changes in services and any up and coming projects.

The meetings are open to all leaseholders and you are all welcome to attend. If you want to see a particular topic discussed please contact the Customer Engagement Team on 01509 634955 or 01509 634679, or email involvement@charnwood.gov.uk.

Upcoming meetings

Letters will be sent out inviting all our Leaseholders to attend the next forum meetings, which will be published on this webpage when confirmed.

The next leaseholder forum meeting takes place on Tuesday September 10, 2024 from 10.30am until 12pm in Committee Room 2 at the Charnwood Borough Council offices on Southfield Road, Loughborough, LE11 2LX.

This is an opportunity for you to join Council officers as we review the Leaseholders Handbook and look at ways we can improve the content for Leaseholders.

Open surgeries

The open surgeries have now been increased due to popular demand. The surgeries are held at different times to allow as many leaseholders as possible to attend.

The surgeries are a fantastic opportunity for leaseholders to come along to receive and share relevant information and ask questions about leasehold issues.

Customer engagement team

The customer engagement team are available to leaseholders and council tenants. The team would like to understand the housing issues that are important to you and your neighbourhood.

Customer engagement gives you the opportunity to influence the services that we offer and gives you the chance to make a real difference. 

Getting involved brings lots of rewards. You can meet new people, learn new skills and directly change how services are provided to improve homes and communities.
