Garden waste collections

Please be aware there will be no garden waste collections for the weeks commencing Monday, 23 December and Monday, 30 December. The service will resume from Monday, 6 January 2025. This means the final garden waste collections of 2024 will take place the week commencing Monday, 16 December 2024.

Real Christmas tree collections

We will collect real trees from subscribers to our garden waste service. Customers with a garden waste bin can present the tree at the side of the bin and it will be taken. Trees should be no bigger than 6ft (1.8m) and placed next to the bins at the edge of the property for 6am on collection day.

Collection dates will be between Monday, 6 January to Friday, 17 January 2025.

Trees should not be over 6ft tall (1.8 metres) – if they are they will need to be cut in two.

Bulky waste collections

Bulky waste collections can be made online via the bulky waste collections webpage.

Standard bulky waste collection

This is for items such as tables, wardrobes, fridge freezers. A full list of what items are included can be found on the main bulky waste collections webpage.

Standard bulky waste collections booked before 2pm on Friday 20 December will be collected from 6am on Saturday 21 December.

Customers will be unable to make online bookings for standard bulky waste collections from 2pm on Friday 20 December 2024 until Monday, 6 January 2025 at 9am.

The first standard bulky waste collections of 2025 will be made from 6am on Saturday, 11 January 2025.

Please ensure your bulky items are out by 6am on your collection day.

Upholstered/soft furnishing bulky waste collection

This is for items including armchairs, chairs/stools, corner sofas and sofa beds. A full list of what items are included can be found on the main bulky waste collections webpage.

The final upholstered/soft furnishing bulky waste collections of 2024 will be made on Monday 23 December from 6am.

Customers will be able to make online bookings for upholstered/soft furnishing bulky waste collections from Monday, 6 January 2025 at 9am.

The first upholstered/soft furnishing bulky waste collections of 2025 will be made from 6am on Monday, 13 January 2025.

Please ensure your bulky items are out for collection by 6am on your collection day.

Clinical waste collections

Clinical waste collections will take place on Friday, 27 December 2024 and Friday, 3 January 2025. Collections will return to a Wednesday from Wednesday, 8 January 2025.

Commercial/trade waste collections

Commercial/trade waste collections will take place on Monday 23 December and Monday 30 December.
