Charnwood Small Community Grants

The New Charnwood Small Grants programme can provide up to £750 for the activities of properly constituted Voluntary and Community and Voluntary Sector (VCS) organisations and projects in Charnwood, including organisational running costs and projects (for up to one year), environmental projects and one-off contributions for equipment costs for projects with community benefit.

Priority will be given to requests from eligible VCS organisations to deliver community-based services, projects and activities that are specifically focused on improving the lives, health and wellbeing of vulnerable and disadvantaged people and communities in Charnwood. Requests to mitigate the impact of the cost-of-living crisis on VCS organisations and those they support will be of particular interest.

Applying for a Charnwood Small Grant

Please note the application form is now online and cannot be saved and reopened and will ‘timeout’ at midnight.  It is therefore recommended the application form pre-view is read and all required supporting documents and answers the to questions are prepared before the application is started. 

The Charnwood Small Grants is an open programme where applications can be submitted at anytime before the programme closes on January 31, 2025.

This is a fast-track process where we aim for the grant application assessment, approval and payment  to take a maximum of 25 working days from receipt of the application with all required information and supporting documentation.

Organisations should therefore apply at least  25 working days days in advance of any planned activities or events.
