Council tenants and leaseholders enjoy networking event

Council tenants and leaseholders attended a special event on Thursday, June 13, 2024. 

The tenant networking event took place at Loughborough Town Hall and was an opportunity for council tenants and leaseholders to meet council officers from services including repairs, income management, warden services, sport and active recreation and environmental services.

Partner organisations were also in attendance to speak with tenants about their services, including gas safety, housing repairs and maintenance.

The council’s customer engagement team were on hand to sign tenants up to various groups, forums and events, all designed to encourage a close relationship between the council and its tenants.

There was also a display of paintings, photographs and other creative works submitted by council tenants as part of a creative competition held last year.

Peter Oliver, director of housing and wellbeing at Charnwood Borough Council, said: “I want to thank all the council tenants and leaseholders who attended the networking event at Loughborough Town Hall.

“It is important to have opportunities to speak to tenants in person, and these events are an essential part of this.

“I know that our officers enjoyed meeting everyone who attended and helping them find all the advice and support they need.

“More events will be taking place throughout the borough, and I hope that tenants and leaseholders will continue to attend and speak with us.”
