General election 2024 results for Charnwood

The general election took place on Thursday July 4, 2024.
Charnwood Borough Council is responsible for administrating the Loughborough and Mid Leicestershire constituencies.
The count took place throughout the night at Loughborough Leisure Centre with the results announced on Friday, July 5, 2024.
The results are as follows:
Loughborough constituency:
- Jane Marion Hunt (Conservative Party) – 12,289
- Andy McWilliam (Reform UK) – 7,204
- Jeevun Sandher (Labour Party) – 17,249 (Elected)
- Ian Robert Sharpe (Liberal Democrats) – 2,561
- Hans Zollinger-Ball (Green Party) – 2,956
Jeevun Sandher is duly elected as the Member of Parliament for Loughborough.
Mid Leicestershire constituency:
- Peter Alexander Bedford (Conservative Party) - 17,735 (Elected)
- Ian Carmichael Bradwell (Liberal Democrats) - 2,444
- Tony Deakin (Green Party) - 3,414
- Robert Martin (Labour Party) - 15,534
- Tom Smith (Reform UK) – 8,923
Peter Alexander Bedford is duly elected as the Member of Parliament for Mid Leicestershire.
Melton Borough Council administrated the election for the Melton and Syston constituency.
The results for the Melton and Syston constituency:
- Edward John Comport Argar (Conservative Party) – 17,526 (Elected)
- Marilyn Mary Gordon (Independent) - 517
- Zafran Khan (Labour Party) – 12,130
- Teck Khong (Alliance Democracy and Freedom) - 348
- Andy Konieczko (Liberal Democrats) – 2,547
- Alastair James McQuillan (Green Party) – 3,685
- Pete Morris (Reform UK) – 8,945
- Matt Shouler (Rejoin EU) – 288
Edward John Comport Argar is duly elected as the Member of Parliament for Melton and Syston.
