The Children and Young People's team aims to promote and support children and young people in Charnwood and encourage them to unlock and reach their full potential.
This includes:
- Very close working links with the Children and Family Wellbeing Service
- Involving young people in the way we make decisions about issues that affect them.
Safeguarding
We take our duty to safeguard children, young people and vulnerable adults very seriously. If you are a member of the public and you have concerns about a child or young person please report your concerns immediately.
If the child or young person is in imminent danger please contact the emergency services on 999. You can also visit our Safeguarding webpage for more information about what you can do.
Local offer
Our aspirations for children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and disabilities is the same for all children and young people- that they achieve, thrive and live fulfilled lives in a world where they have choice and control over their options.
To support them in realising this, the Local Offer provides information about where children and young people up to the age of 25 and their families can find out about and access services in their local area.
