Mediation is an effective way to stop anti-social behaviour before it gets worse, hopefully before it starts to impact on your health. 

We’ve had great success helping to solve neighbourhood disagreements through our impartial Neighbour Relations (mediation) Service provided by Steve Hindmarsh Ltd.

Quality of life and enjoying your own home can mean different things to different people.

If you don't get on with your neighbour, it can be stressful and troubling. If the situation is beginning to cause difficulties then we can help you.

Through the Neighbour Relations (mediation) Service we can provide an independent negotiator or go-between to help you negotiate and problem solve. The negotiator can help tackle difficult issues and keep conversations constructive and respectful. The aim is to help you and your neighbour find a solution that works for both of you. A solution that will improve the quality of life for each of you.

If issues such as noise, parking, lifestyle, children, rubbish, gangs, respect, threats or harassment are troubling you, then we can help.

The service is free of charge, and is fast, efficient and confidential.

An independent negotiator will work with you in confidence, and without judgment. They will not tell you what to do but will give tips and advice on how to negotiate and communicate to get a better result.

The negotiator will relay messages back and forth between you. You do not have to meet with your neighbour face to face; you do not have to talk with your neighbour. You can communicate through the negotiator. The negotiator will also be looking to help you find the skills and confidence to manage the issues between you; they will support you both in doing this.

We know that some situations can be worrying or even frightening. Our aim is to help you defuse such situations and build a safer environment for you both.

The Neighbour Relations (mediation) Service has helped many people resolve difficult situations, sometimes situations that seem impossible to resolve.
